Wingate Ltd. is a full-service interior design firm based in Great Barrington, MA, serving Berkshire County and the Northeast since 1999. Our interior design service covers every room and scale — from single-room refreshes to whole-home transformations — including space planning, material selection, color consultation, custom furniture, lighting design, and landscape architecture.

Design-build at Wingate Ltd. means one team handles both design and construction from start to finish. The same firm that draws your plans, selects materials, and designs your interiors also manages permits, coordinates contractors, and builds the project — eliminating the miscommunication and change orders that happen when design and construction are managed separately.
Our in-house capabilities include custom cabinetry, millwork, and fine carpentry built in our own woodworking shop. We handle additions, full renovations, new construction, and everything in between — from concept drawings through final punch list.

The Wingate Ltd. showroom at 420 Stockbridge Rd. in Great Barrington, MA is a 15,000 square foot design destination featuring curated furniture, lighting, area rugs, upholstery, antiques, original art, window treatments, and decorative accessories. It operates as both a working design studio and a retail space where visitors can purchase pieces directly.
Everything is selected by Valerie Winig with a specific vision: pieces that work in real rooms, with real families, and hold up over time. We carry custom and semi-custom furniture lines, source antiques from estates across New England, and build custom pieces in our own woodworking shop when nothing on the floor is quite right.
Walk-ins are always welcome. If you have a project in mind, call ahead and we'll make sure the right people are available to help.
